Wow, what a term!

We have been very busy at Kelli Dixon Academy of Dance since September – exams, dressing up, classes and we wrapped up term with some Christmas events!

Firstly, thank you to all our students for their hard work this term. You have all been fabulous; learning new syllabus, continuing to perform and being happy in every class. Keep this up when we return in 2022!

Secondly, congratulations to our students that took exams this term. You all worked extremely hard and look forward to receiving all your results from the ISTD soon. For those that didn’t get the chance to do their exams this term, we have plenty more opportunities to do exams before our summer break. We will confirm students for these exams with plenty of notice once our dates are confirmed.

Next, we have been lucky to have taken part in two very exciting performances over the last couple of weekends:
Savill Garden – A group of our students brought Christmas joy with their carol singing and dancing at Savill Garden (Egham) on Saturday 11th December. It was a lovely way to end term and kick off the festive period – well done everyone!
Shaftesbury Theatre, London – Some of our stage school students had the exciting honour to perform an eclectic mix of American Idiot, Annie and My Fair Lady on Sunday 19th December at the Shaftesbury Theatre, London. This was super exciting for us as we hadn’t performed in a London Theatre for over 2 years! Taking part in these shows are always a great opportunity for our students to gain experience on a big stage and to shine.
I want to say a huge thank you and congratulations to the students that performed at either (or both!) of these events. You smiled beautifully, listened to all of the instructions from our hosts and made both experiences thoroughly enjoyable. We look forward to the next shows that come up.

Finally, we’d like to say thank you to all our parents and students for their commitment this term and want to take the opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We hope that Santa brings you some lovely gifts and you spend time with your families. Stay safe and we will see you when term restarts on Monday 10th January – bring your energy as we will be getting ready for our 2023 show!
Please keep an eye on the Facebook page for updates of booking next terms’ classes.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!🎄🎁🎅🏼✨☃️
